Emergency Assembly Session for Vaccine Law
After hours of negotiations between the Archduke of Aovikland and the Premier of the Confederation, an edited version of the Universal Vaccine Public Safety Act passed in an emergency session of the Assembly.
A spirit of compromise prevailed throughout the negotiations, as the Archduke won concessions to the state authorities to guide and give assent to the Confederation’s vaccine orders. The DSCP managed to keep the majority of the Act intact, including powerful laws to curtail anti-vax terrorist propaganda and activity. This includes prison sentences of up to five years for spreading antivax propaganda, ten years imprisonment for the destruction of any vaccine for antivax purposes and two years imprisonment for denying children vaccines.
After these negotiations were completed, an emergency session of the Assembly was called. Premier William Alexander represented the DSCP whilst Archduke James and Opposition Leader Connor represented the CAP’s interests. What followed was the quickest Assembly session in our history; taking only four minutes to both pass the vaccine law and ratify our friendship treaty with the Saarditian Empire.
This session represents a major victory for the DSCP’s legislative and diplomatic agenda. Which as the Premier noted could not have been done without the bipartisan efforts of the CAP. The Confederation shines brightest when, as seen today; our Assembly Members work towards the common good of our union.
A list of mandatory vaccines shall be released shortly. In the meantime, it is now the duty of every Confederation citizen to report acts of antivax propaganda. Furthermore, now that many of our citizens are in lockdown in Sydney Australia, the Government encourages our citizens to stay indoors when possible and wear masks. We shall overcome.
