Condemnation of the Putin Government

Our administration and the DSCP condemn in the strongest possible terms the recent destabilizing actions of the Putin regime in Eastern Europe. The buildup of over 100,000 troops near the border of Ukraine seriously threatens to escalate the civil war in Ukraine. We therefore, demand that the Putin regime standdown its military forces and desist all attempts to encroach on Ukraine’s sovereign territory. Furthermore, the support of the Putin government to the dictatorship of Belarus must cease, as that regime is violating the basic Human Rights of its citizens.

The path to true security is found in democracy and peace; not in savagely oppressing innocent civilians and enflaming a cruel conflict.
