Statement on Recent Events in Samoa

The Vladastock Confederation, its Member States and its Citizens congratulate Fiame Naomi Mataʻafa on her electoral victory and becoming the first Woman Prime Minister of the Independent State of Samoa.

We wholeheartedly condemn the actions of the previous administration, who have attempted to deny the results of the democratic elections; who have barred the doors to parliament and have created a constitutional crisis.

Our entire Confederation stands in solidarity with the people of Samoa and their newly elected prime minister. We all hope for a peaceful resolution to this crisis.
