Statement on the Atlanta Spa Shootings hate crime

The Vladastock Confederation, the DSCP, CAP and the entirety of our citizenry condemn the hateful massacre that took place in Atlanta, Georgia. A hate crime where a white suspect shot and murdered eight people, six of whom were of Asian descent.

This attack is the result of continual anti-Asian hate spewed by politicians, media outlets and individuals that has intensified since the beginning of the COVID-19 Crisis. A hateful ideology which like all others is based on incorrect biases, stereotypes and ignorance.

We fully condemn the disgusting madman who took 8 innocent lives; we also condemn the ceaseless, globe spanning anti-Asian hysteria that undoubtedly inspired this act of terror. If we hope to live in a world free of such repulsive violence, we must all commit to Anti-Racism, by demanding that our officials, our media and our communities cease any and all racist propaganda and attacks.

We stand in solidarity with all members of the Asian American Community and Asian Communities around the world; and give our sincerest apologies that they have to endure such evil.
