Tenth Community Event Report
Starting at 8pm Sydney time, the citizens of Vladastock undertook both a quick Assembly Session and a Community Event. The Assembly Session saw the passing of a number of resolutions and laws, which were required to bring the Federal Republic of Arapujá into our union as a Member State (more details will be released in an upcoming article).
The Community Event itself was attended by Assembly Members Sean and Jack; Supreme Justice George and me, Premier William. The issue up for debate was whether we should create a Micronational treaty that bans chemical and biological weapons.
The thinking of this administration is as follows; Macro governments around the world continue to stockpile and use chemical weapons to murder their rivals. Biological research strays dangerously close to seriously harming the collective health of humanity. We, as Micronationalists need to show the world that we oppose such horrid weapons. That we will demand the immediate, globe-wide destruction of chemical and biological weapons.
The debate generated by this question was enlightening and engaging. It has certainly revealed the thinking of fellow DSCP members; and now armed with this new knowledge we can go forth and create policy.
However, the night wasn’t all just politics. For roughly thirty minutes beforehand we caught up with one another, laughed and overall had a great time. We also spent an hour afterwards playing Cards Against Humanity; which was a fun reprieve from the somewhat grim subject matter of the event.
In conclusion, it was a great night of comradery and high politics. A truly lovely way to end the weekend.
