Today, Supreme Justice George Howard White made his ruling on the Human Dignity in Commerce Act and the New Fundamental Human Rights Act, after major delays to the case due to unforeseen circumstances.

Whilst noting that the legislature legitimately voted on these Acts and that the Confederation government was empowered to determine economic policy, both points which the DSCP were happy to have confirmed; his Honor ruled in favor of the Archduke of Aovikland’s and the CAP’s interpretation that monopolies are not a Human Rights violation. This means that now significant changes to both laws must be made, a process that shall commence tomorrow.

This case has been a focal point of partisan activity, with vigorous debate taking place between our citizens. The DSCP has stated that they are committed to a bipartisan redrafting of the laws that comply with this ruling. This case will undoubtedly be used by both parties in the upcoming election on the 30th of April.
