Official Statement on the Capitol Terrorist Attack

The Vladastock Confederation, its member states the Pacific Union and Aovikland, both the Democratic Socialist Confederation Party and the Democratic Moderate Party condemn in the strongest possible terms, the terroristic attacks on the Capitol and the incitement by President Trump that sparked them.

Today we witnessed a profoundly shocking and deeply disturbing episode, where supporters of President Trump; after hearing his falsehood ladened speech regarding the election results, stormed the Capitol Building killing four people.

The storming caused a lockdown that terrified those inside. Disrupting the counting of the electoral college’s votes. This was a blatant attempt to use fear as a political weapon to overturn the democratic elections of the United States. These actions are disgusting and abhorrent to all freedom loving people around the world.

It cannot be ignored that when people peacefully took to the streets of DC to declare that Black Lives Matter, they were met with military force and brutality. Yet when a majority white crowd storms the heart of America’s democracy with weapons the police idly stand by and watch the chaos unfold. This is a glaring example of America’s white supremacy, if the protesters had been black this episode would have never occurred as white America would’ve mobilized at lightning speed to suppress them.

The Vladastock Confederation demands that Trump is removed from office and that the United States returns to democracy. America cannot be the shining city on the hill if it so easily descends into far-right putsches. Truly America is facing its most critical hour.
