Condemnation of the US Supreme Court

Today we are saddened by the news that the Roe V Wade Supreme Court decision has been repealed. This ruling granted Americans the right to seek and have an abortion in all states of the union. This unjust, disgusting assault on the basic Human Rights and liberties of women is unconscionable. Banning abortions does not stop them; it only forces women to undergo unsafe procedures. It can be said with certainty that innocent women will die because of the Supreme Court’s decision. This is a dark day for the United States, its beacon glows dimmer because of this oppressive action. We can only hope that this is not the start of a reactionary crusade in the Supreme Court; a crusade that will dismantle other rights won through the courts; such as gay marriage.

The Vladastock Confederation, our citizens, Member States, and government stand in solidarity with the women of the United States. In times of darkness like this, the only recourse is to organise and continue the fight.
