Second Quarter Report

As we enter the month of July; it is a good time to reflect on the second quarter of the year. What we did well and where we can improve. Much like the plan itself; this reflection shall be divided into the following sections, Political, Community and Recruitment.

Political

Our first goal was admitting the Saarditian Democratic Republic into our union; this objective was achieved. There were also plans to welcome in the Confederation of Malus; however, they have put their plans to join us on temporary hold due to internal political matters.

The second goal of hosting multiparty elections had to be shelved due to internal political concerns of the Saarditian government. Hopefully we can see new parties emerge for the main elections in October.

We successfully implemented the third goal of restarting Assembly debates and legislating with the passing of the Reproductive Health Freedom Act.

Finally, Saarditia decided to leave the Micronational Community of Australia (MCA) organisation; this choice completed our fourth goal of interacting with the MCA.

Community

By far our most successful section, we hosted community events and an episode of World Lounge, completing two of the three goals. The coffee meetup however did not go ahead due to scheduling conflicts, but we will attempt to organise one before the end of the year.

Recruitment

This section is where we stumbled the most, recruitment is one of the hardest elements of micro nationalism. We managed to successfully engage in a small advertisement campaign but beyond that we did not achieve the other four objectives. This we will rectify over the coming two quarters.

Conclusion

Overall, I am proud of what we managed to achieve; and Iā€™m extremely grateful to our wonderful citizens who made it a reality. I acknowledge that we need to do better in some areas, but I strongly believe that we are on the right track.

Onwards onto the next quarters,

Premier William Alexander.
