Kingdom of Ederlaand leaves the Confederation

On Wednesday the 31st of July 2024 at 12:00pm NZST, the Kingdom of Ederlaand formally withdrew from the Vladastock Confederation. Despite King Andrew the Second’s desire to remain within the Confederation, his Executive Council wanted to have greater autonomy in regards to foreign policy.

After a series of negotiations and discussions, it was made clear that Ederlaand wanted its independence, which this administration did not contest. Even though Ederlaand is leaving, King Andrew made it clear that “This, however, does not end our friendship with the Confederation, and we will strive to work in partnership with you on micronation projects and initiatives”.

We wish the people of Ederlaand every success as they go forward and chart their own path.

Update 24/08/24

King Andrew had this statement to make in regards to the situation “I want to thank the Premier and his colleagues for allowing a micronation like mine to join the Vladastock Confederation. During the time Ederlaand has been a member, and in the meetings that I have participated in, I have been in awe at the work that has been done. But despite the Kingdom’s departure from the Confederation, the friendships held with the Confederation will not be forgotten. Our two nations move forward into an ever-lasting brotherhood. I salute the Premier, and I salute the Vladastock Confederation in wishing them the best of luck ahead.”.
